Join Life Skills at the Annual Walk, Run, ‘n Roll on Saturday, May 5th

Life Skills participates in Walk, Run, 'n Roll

On Saturday, May 5th join me and 2,000 of my close friends as we walk,
run and roll to raise funds for cognitive and developmental disabilities. Life
Skills and seven other participating agencies will gather at Creve Coeur Park
from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to walk, run, or roll (roller skate, wheel chair,
etc.) in the eighth annual event.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the entire family, including face painting,
music by Wite-Light, a doggie depot, and a fun-zone for the kids. Fred Bird will even stop by to cheer on racers! Participants can choose to walk in the 1-mile or 4-mile loop around the lake.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. followed by an aerobics warm-up at 9:30. To kick-off the morning, one of our Life Skills’ clients will play the Star Spangled Banner on his trumpet. Don’t miss performances by Downs Syndrome Association Cheerleaders and Variety Children’s Chorus and Stages.

Life Skills is excited to partner with seven other agencies to host the annual Walk,
Run, Roll including Community Living, Emmaus Homes, Giant Steps, Pathways to Independence, Rainbow Village, St. Louis Arc and United Services. We believe that by joining together, we can create more awareness about people with developmental disabilities and their contributions to our community.

Participants and supporters will also enjoy a Resource and Health Fair with nearly 50 vendors where they can learn about area businesses that offer services for people with developmental disabilities.
