Vassia Family Charitable Foundation Helps Crisis Nursery Build Strong Families

Saint Louis Crisis Nursery recently received a $10,000 grant from the Vassia Family Charitable Foundation to serve children and families from the city’s New Cathedral Parish.

Families will be provided Family Empowerment services, including parent education and parent-child communication classes at the agency’s St. Louis City Outreach Center, located on North Grand.

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is an independent not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term, safe haven for more than 7,000 children a year, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis at five nursery sites throughout the greater St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois and surrounding regions.  Parents in need of crisis care for their children may call Crisis Nursery 24-hours a day at (314) 768-3201 or (636) 947-0600 in St. Charles County.
