Saint Louis Crisis Nursery Announces 2014 H.U.G.S. & K.I.S.S.E.S. Awardees

Saint Louis Crisis Nursery proudly announces its 2014 H.U.G.S & K.I.S.S.E.S. Awardees: Wells Fargo Advisors, Distinguished Corporate Citizen; Mental Health Board, Funder of the Year; Rick & Barbara Schlueter, Couple of the Year; and Danielle Smith & Ashley Loewe, Young Professional “Heroes.”

H.U.G.S. & K.I.S.S.E.S. (Helpfulness; Uncommon Generosity; Sincere Kindness; Integrity; Shining Service; and Extraordinary Support for children), the agency’s most prestigious award, is given to those who have contributed significantly to advancements in child abuse and neglect prevention and Saint Louis Crisis Nursery's mission to save babies' lives, keep kids safe and build strong families.

“Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is happy to honor our 2014 H.U.G.S & K.I.S.S.E.S. Awardees during National Child Abuse Prevention Month,” said DiAnne Mueller, Crisis Nursery CEO.  “Each awardee has offered valuable resources to continue our mission of saving babies’ lives and keeping kids safe.”

Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides short-term care for children, birth through age 12, who are at-risk of abuse and neglect.  Respite services are free and available at five Nursery locations metro-wide.  Families that have used Nursery services and are in-need of basic resources can visit one of the agency’s seven outreach centers, or enroll in its Family Empowerment Program for additional supportive services.   Parents in need of care for their children may call Crisis Nursery’s 24-hour helpline at (314) 768-3201 or (636) 947-0600 in the St. Charles area.

H.U.G.S. & K.I.S.S.E.S. Awards will be presented at Saint Louis Crisis Nursery's annual Razzle Dazzle Ball on Saturday, April 12 at the Sheraton Westport-Lakeside Chalet.  This year’s sold-out gala, “The Great Gatsby Gala,” is presented by Centene Corporation.  Andre Hepkins and Claire Kellett of KMOV-TV will serve as the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies.
