Spend a Buck at Area FroYo Outlets to Support Juvenile Diabetes

Area FroYo owner Jason Jan came to St. Louis from Malaysia to go to UMSL.

Jason Jan, a native of Malaysia who came to the United States in 1999 to attend college, has since opened six successful FroYo locations around the St. Louis area.

Now, Jan is asking customers for help supporting research to combat juvenile diabetes. Through June, customers can buy a "paper sneaker" with their order for $1, with the donations going to JDRF Greater Missouri and Southern Illinois Chapter.

FroYo has seven locations in the metro St. Louis area:

Ladue, Village at Schneithorst, at Clayton and Lindbergh.
Manchester, 14169 Manchester Road.
South County, 95 Concord Plaza Shopping Center
Central West End, 4663 Maryland Ave.
Delmar Loop, 6329 Delmar Blvd.
Chesterfield, 17408 Chesterfield Airport Road.
Creve Coeur, 10909 Olive Blvd.

The paper sneakers will help fund the research to treat, cure and prevent diabetes. Each customer can sign their sneaker and it will be prominently displayed at the FroYo store.

"I am proud that FroYo is a St. Louis home-grown company and that we can contribute to good causes like JDRF," Jan said in a statement.
