How did your business come to be? "After spending the majority of my career in Marketing Communications, I decided to follow my passion of gardening and pursue Master Gardening certification through the University of Missouri Extension and Missouri Botanical Garden. I then took that knowledge and combined it with my love for creating all types of container gardens and started Contained Beauty."

Why did you choose the area you did? "I have lived in Ladue for 11 years and enjoy working in this community. I also appreciate its central location. The majority of my customers live in Ladue, Clayton or University City."

What kind of services do you offer? "I work with clients to create container gardens that are suited to their tastes and environment. I do all types of container gardening, including annual and perennial gardens, edible gardens, fairy gardens, holiday arrangements and terrariums."

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know? "I have a degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia."

What do you want your business to be best known for? "Creating gorgeous, custom-designed container gardens that are easily maintained and ideally suited to your environment."

What's your most popular product or service? "Terrariums have become very popular once again and I have created many of these miniature landscapes for clients to keep or give as gifts. But in the Spring, the majority of my time is spent creating outdoor flower pots for entryways, patios and poolsides."
