Patch rounds up six local events for the week of Dec. 5.

The temperatures are dropping and the holiday spirit is alive in the Ladue and Frontenac communities.  This week, Patch has collected six local events around the neighborhood that will enrich your body, mind and soul.

Monday, Dec. 5. Want to get flexible while bringing a little Zen into your life? Have some holiday fun while you check out the yoga classes at lululemon at . The classes, which started December 1 and will continue through the 24th, are taught by a certain special guest from the North Pole. The classes are open to yogis of all ages and levels. Tuesday, Dec. 6. Got a kid who loves to read? You might want to check out Book Club Story Time at Pottery Barn Kids at . Tuesday from 11 am to 11:30 am, the Book Club will read Holiday With the Grinch. For more information, call Pottery Barn Kids at 314-983-9490.

Wednesday, Dec. 7. John Burroughs School will hold an admissions program  called “A Closer Look” on Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Prospective students and their parents will be able to meet with department heads, learn more about the benefits of the school and find out how new students are oriented. Thursday, Dec. 8. The Feast of the Immaculate Conception happens on Thursday. This Catholic holiday means that students at St. Joseph’s Academy will be out of school for the day.
