Law Firm of Armstrong Teasdale LLP Announces New Partners

Armstrong Teasdale LLP announces the addition of F. Scott Galt, Sara Finan Melly, Anna T. Selby and B. Scott Eidson to its partnership effective January 1, 2013.

Galt, a member of the firm’s International practice group, handles international corporate compliance issues and global transactions for foreign and domestic companies in a wide variety of industries. He also acts as national counsel for a number of large regional clients managing high-dollar commercial litigation matters. Admitted to practice in Illinois and Missouri, he received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law; M.A. from Johns Hopkins University and B.A. from the University of Virginia. He is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Melly, a litigator in the firm’s Financial Services group, concentrates her practice on representing clients in matters involving debtor and creditor rights, lender liability, financial distress, restructuring and reorganization. She also represents clients in commercial and insurance litigation matters. Melly is admitted to practice in Illinois, Missouri and before the U.S. District Courts in the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois. She received her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, cum laude, and B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas. She is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Female Bankruptcy Attorneys for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Professional Women’s Alliance.

Selby, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, advises and defends health care providers in high profile matters involving complex medical malpractice allegations and multi-million dollar claims. She also handles cases involving alleged HIPAA violations. Admitted to practice in Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and the District of Columbia, she received her J.D. and Health Law Certificate from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.S., cum laude, from the University of Evansville. She is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Tennessee Bar Association and The District of Columbia Bar. She was also nominated to the Theodore McMillian American Inn of Court.

Eidson is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice group and focuses on complex intellectual property matters pending in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the United States. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Florida and before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Courts of Appeals, Federal and Eighth Circuits; U.S. Districts Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, Southern District of Illinois, District of Colorado, Western District of Wisconsin and Eastern District of Texas. Eidson received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and M.B.A in finance; M.H.A.; B.A., with honors; and B.S., with honors, from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He is a member of The Missouri Bar, The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis
