manager Lori Haberman recommended three items in the store. She said that the Funtime Tractor ($35) is a huge hit for babies and toddlers, while the Stomp Rocket ($15.99) is a best-seller for older kids. For older girls, she recommended Locker Looks, a line of magnetic locker products ($7-20) that include mirrors and pencil cups.

For younger girls, the store offers an adorable selection of princess costumes ($57-69) that are sure to make your little girl the star of her birthday party.

Ladue Pharmacy

has a huge selection of items that would make great gifts, from babies to teens.

They have an adorable line of colorful Whoozit toys ($13.99-24.99) that are sure to keep most babies happy. For older kids, they also sell the popular Webkinz stuffed animals for $4.99 each.

For girls, they have a variety of patterned and painted jewelry boxes ($8.99-34.99) that are sure to keep their prized possessions safe.

Store employees indicated that the Japanese Iwako Erasers, which come in a variety of shapes, including animals, food, cars and teeth, are also popular items for kids at the store.

Old Navy

If you have a budding clothes horse or fashionista on your hands, is the place to go for clothing for boys and girls.

For girls, they are currently selling an adorable selection of dresses, starting at $16.94. You can add to the look with a cute pair of glittery or patterned tennis shoes ($16.94).

Boys don't always appreciate clothing as gifts, but getting them something that has their favorite character on it is a great idea. Old Navy has a great selection of character T-shirts ($9.94 and up) that include everyone from Batman to Optimus Prime of Transformers.

"I'd want the Batman shirt," said 8-year-old Max, who was shopping with his mom.

Spicer's

has great toys for kids, from classics to the latest toys to hit the market.

Sales associate Christa Covington first recommended the line of Angry Birds toys ($6.95-16.95), based on the popular video game.

For a more classic toy ($3.95 and up), Spicer's has you covered with the line of Schylling Toy Classics, which include jacks, the peg game and whistles.
