NEW SUMMER CLASSES AT L'ECOLE CULINAIRE ACADEMY

L’École Culinaire Academy announces a new selection of two hour classes tailored to fit the needs of amateur chefs during the summer season. Participants will develop their cooking abilities while learning a variety of recipes and skills for dinner, dessert, wine appreciation and everything in-between. The classes will take place in the industry-current kitchen at L’École Culinaire Academy, 9200 Olive Boulevard, Suite 108.

June starts with two exotically themed classes, each exhibiting dishes from a different part of the world. On June 1, the Date-Night Caribbean class will teach couples to create a three-course meal inspired by Caribbean cuisine. The following day,  the Academy will host a regional cooking class based on traditional Japanese fare. Other regional classes such as French and Mediterranean will be hosted throughout the summer and cost $75 per student.

Summer classes also feature seasonal favorites such as father and son barbecuing, grilling 101, summer salads and ice cream creation. For those with a sweet tooth, cake and cupcake baking and decorating classes are a perfect treat. Other Academy classes feature topics such as meatless Mondays, home canning and other great lessons in the culinary arts. Chefs of all experience levels are welcome. The Academy has classes for those with skill sets ranging from beginner to advanced.

“Cooking should be fun and rewarding for everyone. Classes like these allow people to experience the joy and fun that cooking evokes,” said Chef Matthew Borchardt, Director of L’École Culinaire Academy. “While our classes can teach even the most seasoned professionals something new, we strive to equip the every-day chef with the skills, recipes and confidence to prepare delicious meals.”

Classes range in price from $55 to $75 and are offered through July. L’École Academy also offers kids classes and a camp through the summer months. To register for a class and to view a full list of classes, schedules and for more information, visit www.lecoleacademy.com or call 314-264-1999.
