Missouri Asian-American Bar Association Hosting Pig Roast Picnic & Family Fun Fest at Shaw Park Pavilion in Clayton Saturday, August 4

 If you’ve never been to a pig roast, or even if you have,  come enjoy family fun at a party unlike any other at the inaugural Pig Roast Picnic & Family Fun Fest at Shaw Park Pavilion in Clayton on Saturday, August 4, 2012, hosted by the nonprofit Missouri Asian American Bar Association.

Good-time amusements with all-you-can-eat roasted pork – plus a roasted goat -- are guaranteed starting at 11 a.m. with kid-friendly activities featuring a bouncy house, crazy balloons, face painting, live folk and roots country music, special surprises, plus juice, soft drinks, plenty of water and a whole lot more.

Johnny S. Wang, who is President of the Missouri Asian-American Bar Association (MAABA), said, “This fun public picnic is Asian-inspired and will offer plenty of amusements and entertainment for kids of all ages in addition to all the roast pig, roasted goat and refreshments that people want to eat and drink.”

The Pig Roast Picnic & Family Fun Fest admission price of $15 per person or $30 for a nuclear family covers all the food and beverages that people may want to consume, plus access to all the amusements and entertainments. The picnic will include pigs from Super Smokers, Filipino Lechon and Mandarin House, along with a roasted goat. Admission will be accepted at the Pavilion as cash, check or via credit card.  (Aunts, uncles and grandparents will be considered individual attendees.) The event will continue until about 2 p.m.

Shaw Park Pavilion is at the very center of Shaw Park, with a welcoming canopy of majestic trees and open grass areas, lovely gardens and a new, art-inclusive accessible Tree Top Playground nearby with a “sprayground,” a tree house play structure, roller slide, swings and other accessible amenities. Beautiful Shaw Park, with many picnic tables, walking trails and clean restrooms along with different sports amenities, is located along 27 South Brentwood Boulevard., Clayton, Missouri, 63105, just north of Forest Park Parkway. Shaw Park provides a peaceful respite from daily hustle and bustle.
