Butterfly House Seeks Volunteers, Summer Workers

Opportunity to interact with children this summer.

The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House in Chesterfield is seeking outgoing individuals for three available volunteer positions.

Work with students as a volunteer docent, become a Butterfly House ambassador as a guest services volunteer or help with inventorying and customer service in the Madame Butterfly Gift Shop.

Individuals who love to interact with children will enjoy the rewarding opportunity of serving as a volunteer docent. Butterfly House docents provide structured presentations to students, helping them learn about butterflies, invertebrates and their environments. Formal training is provided. The commitment is two and one-half hours, one day per week, primarily in September, October, March, April and May.
