 Owl Prowls

Where/When: World Bird Sanctuary, Nature Center, 125 Bald Eagle Ridge Road, Valley Park

Saturdays, February 19 and 26, 2011, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Learn the language of owls, meet some of them up close, take a guided hike into the sanctuary to see these amazing birds in their natural setting.

Orchid Show

Where/When: Missouri Botanical Garden, 4344 Shaw Blvd.

Now through Sunday, March 27, 2011.

Open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last weekday entry at 2 p.m.), Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy the colorful beauty of more than 800 orchids displayed in a lush, tropical arrangement. Give the kids their own disposable cameras and let them try their hand at taking photos.
