A freakish snowstorm belted the St. Louis area, leaving about an inch or two of the white stuff on the ground. Though temperatures hovered in the low 30s, the icy snow fell throughout the early morning, snarling traffic in many places.
Personnel from Public Works for the City of Ladue were busy clearing the parking lots and sidewalks.
