House Hunt in Ladue & Frontenac

Ranch homes are versatile and offer great lifestyle options.

They're not building homes like they used to. But ranch homes are still one of the more popular homes for sale in St. Louis. Renovations can be subtle or extensive. Paint, carpet, and windows can make an older home ready for today's new buyer. Knocking out walls and raising ceilings can transform a property into a vision that is surprising once you walk through the doors and see what’s inside.

This week we’re previewing two homes one in Ladue and one in Frontenac. Both are ranch-style homes in different price ranges. First up is a well-executed, renovated ranch at 9826 Waterbury. Many upgrades and extras make this home very livable. Entertaining is easy with two kitchens, bright open spaces and a large rear deck overlooking a spectacular backyard. It is listed at $854,000 by Karen Heath of Laura McCarthy. Call her to see it at 314-569-1171.

The home at 12 Lynnebrook is ready to move in. It’s a traditional ranch on a private street and includes an in-ground swimming pool accessible from the walk-out basement. With lots of space inside and out, Holly Bry of Gladys Manion has it listed at $449,000. Call her at 314-721-7727.

Both homes show very well, suit different styles and are fine examples of the versatility of the ranch-style home. Either of these may be just what you’re looking for.
