Renowned Beer Expert to Visit St. Louis for Charity Event
If you’re looking for a guide through the world of hops, Neil Witte is your man. A 15-year veteran of Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewery Co., Witte has worked across all areas of the brewing process. Last year he became one of only 6 people in the world to earn the title Master Cicerone, the highest designation of beer expert. He brings his refined palate and encyclopedic knowledge of beer to St. Louis for the Animal Protective Association’s “Fancy Feast” beer-paired dinner on August 8.
The evening features a four-course dinner prepared by the accomplished Chef Eric Kelly of Scape and paired with beers coming from breweries as nearby as Urban Chestnut and as distant as the Czech Republic. Witte will lead the dinner from reception through dessert, discussing the evening’s dinner and the complementary brews.
The dinner is part of a series of events celebrating the Animal Protective Association’s 90th anniversary. Seating is limited to 120, and tickets are available through www.harryandhanley.com or by calling (314) 645-4610 ext. 115.
