Pousosa for County Executive

Dear Patch,

This past Tuesday Tony Pousosa, Republican Candidate for St Louis County Executive, held a conference of his fund raising event of his supporters and campaign staff.

At that event he made clear why: he is a candidate and is best qualified.

Tony is a “regular guy”: a husband, father of two boys, coaches his sons’ soccer teams, works at Barnes-Jewish Hospital  as a member of the operating room surgical team.

He is experienced in the issues of local government.  An Alderman for the City of Green Park, President of its Board of Alderman; active in the St Louis County Municipal League..  He is not a newcomer to the issues of St. Louis County.

Tony is champion for honest and good local government.  The county’s procurement process is broken and fails.  Two glaring examples: the 3.4 million dollar (estimated amount) of fraud in the Health Department computer services purchases; the County Crime Lab construction contracts being investigated by the FBI.

These two issues are the most recent one.  His opponents, Charlie Dooley is the incumbent Executive, whose administration has caused these failing.  Steve Stenger. the other announced candidate, has idly done nothing about these lapses.

When the St Louis Labor Council and County Prosecutor announce they are not supporting Dooley, does he announce that he would do something.

Saint Louis County needs a change in its leadership and it adherence to good government.  That will come from Tony Pousosa not the incumbent.
