MICDS Varsity Cheerleading Team Invited to Perform at the Capital One Bowl In Orlando

The MICDS varsity cheerleaders will be performing in the 2013 Capital One Bowl in Orlando Florida on January 1, 2014, televised on ABC. The team was invited to perform in the pre-game performance after winning a Superior Squad award during Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) summer camp.

Squad members will travel as a team to Orlando for a week of rehearsals dedicated to preparing them for their Capital One Bowl pre-game performance.

“This is such an honor for our squad.  And, an incredibly exciting event to be associate with and part of,” said Ally Bergman, Fifth Grade Math teacher and Head of MICDS Cheerleading.  “The hours of rehearsals will be well worth the effort when we have the opportunity to perform in front of tens of thousands of fans at this major college sporting event.”

This will be the squads second appearance – they also performed in 2011.
