TRAFFIC UPDATE: Spoede Road Closure Delayed Until Next Week

The road construction planned for Spoede Road near Clayton Road Wednesday evening has been canceled.

Frontenac police issued a cancellation Wednesday for the repair work initially scheduled at Spoede and Clayton roads Wednesday night.

The traffic alert stated that he work is postponed until next week, but a date has not yet been set.

Drivers no longer need to avoid the area this week.

Drivers are advised to avoid Spoede Road near Clayton Road Wednesday evening. 

An advisory email sent out by the Frontenac Police Department Tuesday stated that Spoede Road will be closed at Clayton Road beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The alert stated that the closure is so that crews can make road repairs.

Spoede Road is scheduled to be reopened by 3 a.m. Thursday.
