Ladue comes through against Glendale

First and foremost, I could not make the 4 hour trip to Springfield because I did not want to risk my car in the snow. However, I do have stats and the scoreline available. Here it is:

Ladue -     12 25 14 17
Glendale - 16 15 15 19

Andrew Maddock led the way with 21 points, which is a season high so far. Cornell Johnston got another 20 points and I should also congratulate him on being nominated as the Fox 2 Arby's Athlete of the Week. Jordan Cosby also had his own season high of points with 10 on the night. Jon Collins scored 9 points, which is right over his season average at 8 points per game.

Here's a quick summary:

The Rams' appeared to get off to a slow start and were down by at most 9 points at 23-14. Glendale's Garrett Skipworth and Cameron Maes were leading the Falcons attack. However Ladue hit fire midway through the 2nd quarter and came all the way back to take a 37-31 lead at halftime.

Ladue's biggest lead was 12 points and Glendale came as close to 5 points in the 4th quarter, but couldn't get any closer. The Rams' did a nice job of holding off the Falcon's with timely offense as it seemed throughout the 2nd half game.

For the rest of the 4th quarter both teams traded baskets and Ladue held on and won by a score of 70-63.

The Rams' next game is on Saturday December, 21st against the reigning co-Suburban East champions, the Normandy Vikings at Nielsen Gymnasium. Tip off time is a rare time at 1:00 pm. Do not worry, it should be over before the Busch Braggin' Rights Game begins.
