As a way to encourage foreign investment and international operations, the Midwest-China Hub Commission wants to establish a center at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. To some, the proposed China Hub project could be St. Louis’s salvation, while others think it could be the road to financial ruin. In www.stlbeacon.org, Saku Aura and Jeff Milyo, said, “Missouri is contemplating handing out as much as $360 million in subsidies to create a monument to graft in St Louis. The China Hub project or "Aerotropolis" is being sold as a slam-dunk profitable investment of public money; economic …
As the months drag on and the unemployment rate rises, President Barak Obama took to the national airwaves with a plan to bring jobs and restore confidence in the government. Did he accomplish his goal? One down and 11 to go. The Missouri Tigers won their home opener against the Miami of Ohio University Redhawks last Saturday on a scorching Faurot Field. The team, not so scorching. But, as they say, a win is a win is a win. Sports media weighed in on the contest. www.muredhawks.com said the Redhawks “hung tough” in the loss to Missouri, but couldn’t produce many points in the 17-5 game that snapped the Redhawks’ six game winning streak at the end of their 2010 season. The Redhawks’ defense did a good job of holding the Tigers’ offense, but didn’t get much support in Don Treadwell’s debut as …

A lawsuit filed by Ladue School District teacher Christina Thomas over a new law (dubbed the “Facebook” law), which keeps teachers from contacting their students has tongues buzzing all over the world. The teacher is arguing this legislation aimed to prevent inappropriate communications and sexual misconduct by prohibiting teachers from holding “exclusive communications” on nonwork sites, Daily Mail said. The law, according to the site, wants to stop cases such as the one involving Amy Jackson, a 35-year-old teacher who allegedly arranged sex with a 14-year old boy via Facebook. Thomas …
While we would like to claim former St. Louis Rams running back, Marshall Faulk, as our own, he has shared his special brand of eliteness with other teams. His induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame brought kudos from admirers throughout the U.S. Not only was he inducted, he got into the Hall in his first year of eligibility, a special feat, indeed. He came from the mean streets of New Orleans where he attended G.W. Carver High School. Coach Wayne Reese saw the athletic potential in Faulk, and the rest, as they say, is history. www.goaztecs.cstv.com, the sports website of San Diego …
