Stan “The Man" Musial's Ladue estate is listed for just under $1.8 million, according to realtor.com.
According to realtor.com, the home of Stan “The Man” Musial at 85 Trent Drive in Ladue is listed for $1,795,000. (Click here to see the realtor.com listing and photos of the home.) As previously reported by Patch, the baseball hall-of-famer passed away in January at the age of 92. He was reportedly surrounded by his family at his Ladue home at the time of his death. According to realtor.com, the home sits on three acres and is 5,286-square-feet. It includes four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a grand foyer with a checkerboard marble floor, a pool and more. The Ladue Barber Shop, at 9844 Clayton Road is kind of like a step back in time. Mount Pleasant Estates has rolled out the red carpet for its many visitors.
Spring is breaking out with a vengeance in the wine country in Augusta, Missouri. The crowds are coming, and the wineries are prepared. The Mount Pleasant Winery is located at 5634 High Street in Augusta, open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5;30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Marketplace Fairness Act was approved in the U.S. Senate, and is headed for the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives. The bill would require merchants to collect sales taxes on online purchases.
It's called the "Marketplace Fairness Act" and supporters say it levels the playing field between online retailers and brick-and-mortar stores by requiring online merchants to pay sales taxes to the states, counties and localities where they have done business. Opponents include anti-tax activists and retailers who say it will be overly burdensome—in fact, nearly impossible, they say, to keep track of the tax rates and tax requirements for the myriad of taxing agencies where they may be doing business. The yogurt specialty shop closes its doors for good Monday.
Chill, the frozen yogurt treat store with 50 choices will close its doors to the public on Monday. The store first opened up at 9793 Clayton Rd. in the MarketPlace in Ladue in April, 2010. There's heavy competition all around with FroYo having a location in Ladue (Schneithorst Village) and Creve Coeur, Maggie Moos in Ladue Crossing, St. Louis Smoothie and Baskin Robbins on Clayton Road. The sign in the window thanks the patrons for their loyal support, and suggests going to their flagship store in Clayton at 7610 Wydown Blvd.

Scott Schnuck, chairman and CEO of Schnucks, issued a video apology on YouTube.
The Chairman and CEO of Schnucks is apologizing for the attack on it’s credit card payment system. In a video posted to the Schnucks Markets YouTube page Friday, May 10, CEO Scott Schnuck said access was blocked on March 30 and that all new credit and debit cards would not be affected. Schnuck cautions, however, that any cards used before March 30 are still subject to fraud. According to Fox 2 News, Schnucks estimates 2.4 million credit and debit card numbers may have been stolen over a three month period. Three class-action lawsuits have been filed against the grocery chain since the incident occurred, Fox 2 reports.
