Week 4: MVP Ballot is Ready For The Voting

5 Area athletes all deserve consideration this week.

 

Five deserving local athletes are on this week's Ladue-Frontenac-Olivette ballot. Vote for your favorite and look for the results this weekend.

Jessica Mormol, Ladue Softball. Nominated by her coach Jennifer Tuttle, this junior led Ladue to 4 wins in 5 games last week and this week. She went 9 for 14 at the plate and scored 6 runs with 2 doubles and a triple and 7 RBIs.

Natalie Gower, St. Joseph's Academy volleyball. Karen Davis nominated her for the 42 kills and a .461 hitting percentage over the weekend en-route to the Angels winning the Tournament of Champions. St. Joe defeated Bishop Miege of Kansas City for the title.

Reid Cytron, Ladue Soccer. He’s scored 6 goals and 12 points this season. He hit the game winner in the MICDS tournament and the Rams are 6-3-1.

Zeke Elliott, John Burroughs football. Mr. Touchdown, the Ohio State-bound rusher scored 5 more TDs in the 56-14 romp over Lutheran North. He has 17 TDs and 102 points in 4 games to lead all area scorers.

Ashley Sink, St. Joseph’s softball. She smacked two home runs in a 12-5 win over rival Incarnate Word Academy. She is hitting .393 on the season and the Angels have reached 6-6 so far.

Voting begins today and will conclude at 5 p.m. sharp Thursday. The winner will be announced over the weekend and the next nominations will begin for Week 5 on Monday.
