Steve Bell: Final Ladue Distinguished Service Award Winner of This School Year

Veteran custodian at Ladue Middle School earns this recognition.

Steve Bell, custodian at Ladue Middle School, and an employee of the district was recognized in June as the Distinguished Service award winner. He was presented a plaque Monday night by Marsha Chappelow, the district's superintendent.

A brief video was shown, depicting all of the work Bell does on behalf of the students and staff at his school.

More times than not, custodians go way beyond their assigned duties, offering unofficial counseling and a shoulder to lean on by young students. Bell fits that description perfectly.

His supervisors took the opportunity to recognize him at the regular bi-monthly Ladue School District Board of Education meeting.

This is the final award to be given during the 2012 school year calendar.
