The Creve Coeur location of the Wine and Cheese Place just expanded its space this month to make room for more stock selection.

The Wine and Cheese Place at 457 North New Ballas Road in Balmoral Plaza claimed the lease for a neighboring space -- formerly Hardware Gallery, which closed in August -- last November. Paul Hayden with the Wine and Cheese Place said they were able to take possession of the space Feb. 1.

Hayden said the store crew took filling and decorating the space a step at a time over the weekend. The expansion is filled with more of a growing wine, liquor and beer selection, adding on to the store since its 2011 opening. There are three other locations in the St. Louis area.

The Wine and Cheese Place is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
