Readers' Choice 2012: What’s Your Favorite Beer Garden?
St. Louis is a beer town, but we need our readers to tell us where to find the best beer garden in the area.
The history of beer in St. Louis can be traced back to the 1800s, when the famous Lemp family started the first local brewery, according to Explore St. Louis.
Early German and Irish settlers helped build a city that centers around its beer. From Anheuser Busch in Soulard to Schlafy Bottleworks in Maplewood, St. Louis has dozens of breweries and microbreweries constantly producing different beer creations for us, lucky over-21 St. Louisans, to try.
Beer gardens offer customers an opportunity to experience a variety of flavors, textures and alcohol contents of different beers.
But we want the opinion of our readers, who we considered our most important experts, to tell us their favorite place to have a cold one.
So get on the comments section of this story and tell us your favorite beer garden in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Please don't forget to tell us why that place gets your nod.
Nominations can be made from today until July 9. Voting will begin thereafter. Make sure to tell all your friends and family to participate.
