Read What Happened to Bob McCormack at CBC on Saturday

Cadets decline to renew contract of popular basketball coach. What's next?

More than a few folks in the know of local sports circles think veteran coach Bobby McCormack got the shaft at CBC.

Trying to be politically correct, the Cadets did not fire the 17-year-veteran, rather they refused to renew his contract, hoping against hope that he would quietely chose to whimper off in the night.

Some deal?

Anyway, you will get to read Baer Facts Saturday and then draw your own conclusions.

One thing is, this is not a pretty outcome. A month ago, the Cadets released their president Mike England who was at CBC for 25 years.

What the heck is going on in Town and Country these days?

I had quite a lot of contact with Bob when I was covering local prep sports for the Post. And he was always very accessible and extremely nice, as well as always being professional. The man built a fine won-loss record with CBC. And he projects an excellent image. Why the hell did those people at CBC choose to dump him? First Valerie Harper reporting about her terminal cancer, now this. Why do good people continue to get the worst...while classless, sarcastic bitches like Joan Rivers continue to thrive?
