Mary, a Rainbow Village resident, couldn’t wait to show off the new renovations to her home of over 10 years. On Wednesday, Rainbow Village dedicated the home of Mary and her two roommates in honor of the Harvey Kornblum Foundation. The Foundation generously donated money in support of Rainbow Village, a local nonprofit that provides safe and affordable homes for people with developmental disabilities.

Rainbow Village Director of Development and Community Relations Mike Rea, Rainbow Villages’ Immediate Past Board President Jim Fogle, Missouri State Representative Tracy McCreery, and Rainbow Village Board Member and Capital Campaign Chair Michelle Murray thanked the trustees of the Harvey Kornblum Foundation during presentations at the event.

Representative Tracy McCreery presented Gay Kornblum, wife of the late Harvey Kornblum, with a resolution to thank the Foundation for their donation and commitment to the community.

“We are honored to receive this gift from the Harvey Kornblum Foundation,” said Mike Rea. “Through their generosity, we are able to make much needed upgrades and build more homes for our consumers. The waiting list is great, but it is through gifts such as these that we can continue to make a difference.”

I've never been there before. They must offer so much comfort and safety for some of our most vulnerable citizens.
