Here's what's happening in and near Ladue, Clayton and University City.

Monday, Mar. 26.

  • The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum at is featuring an exhibit featuring brain imaging technology on great artists. The exhibit, called Art and the Mind-Brain, will open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The exhibit is free and will run through April 16. For more information, visit ArtsZipper.com.

  • If you’re in University City on Tuesday, head over to the for the Fringe Figure Film Festival: The Third Man at 7 p.m. The classic film features a pulp novelist who finds himself investigating the death of a friend while traveling. Admission is free.
  • The in Ladue will host Dr. Marvin Marcus, ’s Professor of Japanese Literature on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Marcus will discuss renowned Japanese author Haruki Murakami’s writing style as compared to more traditional Japanese works.   • The Fringe Figure Film Festival continues in University City on Wednesday with Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film Psycho at the . The show is free and starts at 7 p.m.
  • The in Ladue is hosting a free presentation on living with low vision on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Tips and resources will be offered to help those affected by low vision have better health, be safer and increase their independence.   • and the Clayton Board of Aldermen will host a National Women’s History Month reception on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. For more information, visit the city’s website.
  • The Clayton PTO and the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council is co-hosting a Meet the Candidates forum on Wednesday in the Clayton High School auditorium.   • Head to the Landmark Tivoli Theatre in University City on Thursday for the third installment in the Fringe Figure Film Festival. Jean-Luc’ Godard’s postmodern romance, Pierrot le Fou, will be shown at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
  • The in University City is hosting Keys to Your Good Health on Thursday. Attendees can visit a variety of vendors who will offer complimentary health screenings and information. They can also try healthy snacks and learn about nutrition from St. Louis County Health Department representatives.   • In University City, the Yonder Mountain String Band and Brown Bird will play at on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The show will also run on Saturday. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:30. At 7 p.m., Howard Schwartz and Jeff Friedman will help kick off National Poetry Month with readings of their work. Copies of both authors’ books will be available for purchase and signing.   • The in Clayton is hosting a School Days Gala, a celebration of the new Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School. Saul Mirowitz Day School Reform Jewish Academy and Solomon Schechter Day School have merged to create the new school.   • In U. City, COCA is holding Visual Arts Open Studio on Sunday in conjunction with ArtMart.
