Tuesday, Mar. 20.

  • The St. Louis County Library Headquarters in Ladue is hosting an Introduction to AncestryLibraryEdition.com class on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Participants will learn to find their ancestors with the website. Registration is required. For more details, visit the library’s website.

Wednesday, Mar. 21.

  • George Thorogood and the Destroyers will play at the Pageant in University City on Wednesday. General admission is $30 and there’s a $2 minor surcharge at the door.   • In Clayton, the St. Louis Artists’ Guild is holding a Science Fiction Illustration class on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Students will learn techniques used in science fiction illustration.   • The Clayton Century Foundation’s History Lecture Series continues on Wednesday with Clayton’s police chief, Tom Byrne, presenting Clayton’s Changing Landscape.   • The University City Board of Adjustment will meet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Visit the University City website for details.
  • The St. Louis County Library Headquarters in Ladue is hosting bestselling author Susan Vreeland on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Vreeland will discuss her new book entitled Clara & Mr. Tiffany. For more information, visit the library’s website.

Thursday, Mar. 22.

  • Jazz musician Andrew Bird will be in concert at the Pageant on Thursday. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. General admission is $30 and there’s a $2 minor surcharge at the door. The opening act features Eugene Mirman. Ticket buyers will receive a free download of Bird’s upcoming album as well as two additional free music downloads.   • The City of Clayton’s Ecology and Environmental Awareness Committee meets on Thursday at 5 p.m. at City Hall. For details, visit the city’s website.

Friday, Mar. 23.

  • In U. City, Rebelution will play at the Pageant on Friday with opening acts The Green and Pep Love. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8.   • If you’re in more of a dramatic mood on Friday, you might like to check out the student theater company’s production of Missing at COCA in University City. Billed as a “contemporary urban re-telling of Hansel and Gretel,” the show starts at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $6 to $8. The show will also run at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday.   • Samuel United Church of Christ in Clayton is hosting a Chinese Class for the community. Taught by professional Chinese teachers, there will be classes for both children and adults.   • The City of Clayton's Public Works Department and Ecology and Environmental Awareness Committee is sponsoring its 8th annual Electronic Recycling Event in the south parking lot of Shaw Park on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Business and residents may dispose of various items, including computers, printers, phones, pagers, fax machines, small appliances, copy machines and televisions. Saturday, Mar. 24.

  • If you’re in Clayton on Saturday, stop by Jimmy’s on the Park between 8 and 11 p.m. to see Cashmere Duo in concert. For more information, visit Jimmy’s website.
  • The St. Louis County Library Headquarters in Ladue is holding a Super Smash Bros. Tournament on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Registration begins at 1 and the tournament begins at 1:30.   • The St. Louis County Library Headquarters in Ladue is also hosting bestselling author Anne Lamott on Saturday at 7 p.m., where she will discuss her latest book, Some Assembly Required. For details, visit the library’s website.

Sunday, Mar. 25.

  • In U. City, The Head and the Heart will play at the Pageant on Sunday, featuring opening acts Drew Grow and the Pastor’s Wives and Black Girls. General admission tickets start at $17.50 and there’s a $2 minor surcharge at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8.   • Williams-Sonoma at Plaza Frontenac is offering a Healthy Cooking for Kids class on Sunday. Partipants will receive all recipes, tastings of the prepared dishes and save 10 percent on anything purchased that day. For more information, visit Plaza Frontenac’s website.
