Monday, July 9

• Computer Repair St. Louis is presenting a course on creating professional websites at the St. Louis Frontenac Hilton. The cost of the course, entitled Computers and Technology and Websites Design Made Simple, is $45. Learn more at the company’s website.
• TheCity of Ladue’s Police and Fire Board will meet on Monday at 4 p.m.
• The City of Richmond Heights’ Police and Fire Pension Board will meet on Monday at 7 p.m.
• University City’s City Council is having a study session to review council rules and regulations on Monday at 5:30 p.m. The Green Practices Commission is also having a special meeting at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
• Power Play will entertain guests at the Starlight Concert Series on Monday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at

Tuesday, July 10

• The City of Clayton’s Board of Aldermen will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
• The Richmond Heights Garden Club will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ at 7126 Bruno Ave. in Maplewood.
• Kids in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Tuesday to meet Louie, the St. Louis Blues mascot. Beginning at 11 a.m., Louie will read a story. After the show, he’ll sign autographs and pose with kids for photos. Learn more at the library’s website.

Wednesday, July 11

• Fontbonne University is holding a general open house on Wednesday. Freshmen and general inquirers should attend between 10 a.m. and noon. You’ll be able to tour the campus, meet the faculty and students, learn about financial aid and scholarship opportunities, check out academic programs, sports and more. Plus, you’ll get a free lunch. • It’s time for Parties in the Park in downtown Clayton. On Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., enjoy a free concert and party and an ice cold beverage while you socialize with friends and colleagues or meet new people. • University City’s Movies in the Park features “Akeelah & the Bee” this week. The movie starts at 8:30 in Lewis Park, and the event is free and open to the public.

• Archway is hosting a St. Louis Cocktail and Networking event on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton. Friday, July 13

• Fans of the game Perplexus, the tipsy, turvy, can’t put it down 3D marble maze game from PlaSmart Inc. are invited to Imagination Toys on Friday to meet with two A-Maze-ing Perplexus Tour Ambassadors to learn more about the game that has perplexed players since it was introduced in 2010. • The Young Friends Committee is hosting an evening of comedy to benefit Gateway to Hope. Admission price includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and the funniest entertainment in town. • Learn the simplicity and beauty of pinhole photography at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop will teach you how to make a pinhole camera from a shoe box, cookie tin or even a toy.
