  • The City of Clayton’s Board of Aldermen will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
  • The Richmond Heights Garden Club will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ at 7126 Bruno Ave. in Maplewood.
  • Kids in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Tuesday to meet Louie, the St. Louis Blues mascot. Beginning at 11 a.m., Louie will read a story. After the show, he’ll sign autographs and pose with kids for photos. Learn more at the library’s website.

  • Archway is hosting a St. Louis Cocktail and Networking event on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton. The free event offers drinks, hors d’oeuvres and opportunities to socialize with your fellow wealth management colleagues. Archway has a varied user base comprised of Family Offices, Hedge Funds and RIA’s, so this event gives you the opportunity to network with professionals in industries outside your own. Learn more and register at EventBrite.
  • The City of Ladue’s Zoning & Planning Commission will meet on Thursday at 4 p.m.
  • Love Angry Birds? You can make your own and play a live-action version of the game at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. Learn more and register at the library’s website.

  • The Young Friends Committee is hosting an evening of comedy to benefit Gateway to Hope. Admission price includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and the funniest entertainment in town. You’ll also have the opportunity to win a number of raffle items. Tickets are $40 if purchased by Friday, or $50 on Saturday. Learn more and register at the group’s website.
  • Learn the simplicity and beauty of pinhole photography at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop will teach you how to make a pinhole camera from a shoe box, cookie tin or even a toy. The workshop is for ages 15 to 18 and costs $100 for non members and $80 for members. Supplies are included. Learn more and register at the guild’s website.
  • Louis Michael will play at Jimmy’s Café on the Park in Clayton on Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. 
  • The Clayton Farmers’ Market is open on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Straub’s at 8282 Forsyth.
  • Author Chris Cleave will be at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. to discuss his latest book, “Gold.” Learn more at the library’s website.
