  • Designed Eileen Fisher’s spring collection will be showcased at Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the upper level.   • In University City, the Green Practices Commission will meet at 6:30 at City Hall, as will the Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority.
  • The St. Louis County Library Headquarters is hosting author Ann B. Ross on Thursday at 7 p.m. Ross will present the latest in her Miss Julia to the Rescue series. For more information, visit the library’s website.

Friday, Apr. 13.—Friday the 13th

  • Need a little Shakespeare in your life? If so, you’re in luck. The Fontbonne University Fine Arts Theatre in Clayton is presenting Mustard Seed Theatre’s performance of The Winter’s Tale beginning Friday. The show starts at 8 p.m. and can be seen each weekend day through April 29. Saturday and Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. and tickets are $20 to $25.   • Speaking of drama, if you or someone you love is interested in acting and singing, you might be interested in knowing that COCA in University City is holding open auditions for its summer musical. Auditions will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. Fans of Reese Witherspoon and cheerleading will be thrilled to know that this year’s musical is Legally Blonde.   • John Burroughs School’s Bonsack Gallery is holding a reception hosted by featured artists Anne Martin, Donya Allison, Andrew Denney, Howard Jones and Andrew Newman on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30. Saturday, Apr. 14.

  • Clayton residents who live in Ward III are invited to join city officials, including aldermen from Ward III, for a networking coffee at Starbucks on North Central at 10 a.m. For details, visit the city’s website.
  • The City of Richmond Heights’ District 2 monthly meeting is happening on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Heights. For more information, visit the city’s website.
  • Area teens who are interested in writing have a special opportunity on Saturday, thanks to young adult author Angela Sage Larsen and the St. Louis County Library Headquarters. Larsen is offering writing tips and advice during her Teen Writing Workshop for kids ages 12 to 18. Registration is required. For more information and to register, visit the library’s website.

Sunday, Apr. 15—Federal Income Taxes Due Monday, Apr. 16

  • The GO! St. Louis Marathon will be held in University City’s Delmar Loop on Sunday. Even if you’re not participating in the race, you need to be aware that there will be road closures on Big Bend Boulevard between Delmar and Forsyth, on Skinker betweek Delmar and Clayton, and on Hanley between Delmar and Forsyth. It’s free to attend and cheer on the marathoners, but registration fees apply for runners. For more information, visit the GO! St. Louis website.
