Monday, Apr. 9.

• Since most area students have the day off on Monday, why not head to University City to while you’ve still got a chance to see the A Means to Meaning: The Triptych: Artists and Poets Offer Us Energy, Courage, Faith & Fun exhibit at the Regional Arts Commission.  Admission is free. • In University City, the Municipal Commission on Arts & Letters will meet at Centennial Commons beginning at 7 a.m. For details, visit the city’s website.

• At the St. Louis County Library Headquarters in Ladue, the genealogical research lessons continue with a research course called Getting the Most out of the Special Collections Department. • MICDS is hosting Haley Kilpatrick, author of The Drama Years: Real Girls Talk About Surviving Middle School—Bullies, Brands, Body Image and More on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Kilpatrick, also the founder of Girl Talk, will talk with parents and daughters about the issues middle school girls face today and offer coping techniques and support ideas for parents. • Looking for ways to provide more constructive and effective feedback at work? Consider joining COCA for its bizTHINK event, where you’ll learn how a simple, three-step technique that’s usually used in the theater can be repurposed for your place of business. • The St. Louis County Library Headquarters in Ladue is hosting Amy Hunter, Director of Racial Justice for YWCA Metro St. Louis on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Hunter will lead an open dialogue about racial equality in the educational system. Thursday, Apr. 12.

• Designed Eileen Fisher’s spring collection will be showcased at Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the upper level. Friday, Apr. 13.—Friday the 13^th

• Need a little Shakespeare in your life? If so, you’re in luck. The Fontbonne University Fine Arts Theatre in Clayton is presenting Mustard Seed Theatre’s performance of The Winter’s Tale beginning Friday. The show starts at 8 p.m. and can be seen each weekend day through April 29. Saturday and Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. and tickets are $20 to $25. • Speaking of drama, if you or someone you love is interested in acting and singing, you might be interested in knowing that COCA in University City is holding open auditions for its summer musical. Sunday, Apr. 15—Federal Income Taxes Due Monday, Apr. 16

• The GO! St. Louis Marathon will be held in University City’s Delmar Loop on Sunday. Even if you’re not participating in the race, you need to be aware that there will be road closures on Big Bend Boulevard between Delmar and Forsyth, on Skinker betweek Delmar and Clayton, and on Hanley between Delmar and Forsyth.
