One Day After Kickoff, Burroughs Finishes Off Priory

The teams were forced to regroup Saturday after severe weather Friday.

"Unfinished Business"

Every team it seems has a slogan. Given the weather conditions Friday afternoon which forced Burroughs and St. Louis Priory to abandon their football game in the 2nd quarter with the Bombers leading the Rebels 35-0, Burroughs' slogan seems awfully appropriate.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the teams finished Saturday with Burroughs winning 59-28.

Burroughs built the advantage in large part thanks to the work of senior Ezekiel Elliott, the all-everything running back who has pledged to play for Ohio State University.

Elliott had three touchdowns on the ground before play was halted Friday. Priory also had a punt blocked deep in Rebel territory that was returned for a Bomber touchdown.
