MVP Week 3: Alim Muhammad, Wide Receiver From MICDS

This junior is starting to draw attention from a number of major programs.

Alim Muhammad is a 150 pound speedster from MICDS. He rushed for 2 TDs as the Rams beat Lutheran South last week for the first win of the season. For the season, he has 10 catches for 214 yards, an average of 21.4 yards per catch. For his efforts, he was selected the Ladue-Frontenac-Olivette Patch Athlete of the Week.

Here’s what he has to say:

Patch: Are you involved in the recruiting process as a junior.

Muhammad: I am starting to get looks from major schools like Iowa, Indiana, Ohio State, Mizzou, Arkansas, Stanford and UCLA.

Patch: How is your season going.

Muhammad: The Team got off to a 0-2 start but we are 1-2 with Priory next. The team as a whole is growing every day and hopefully we get a run going.

Patch: What do you like best about being on your team.

Muhammad: My favorite part about being on the team is how close we are. Everyone on the team is like my second family. I love going out and playing football with them every day.

Patch: What have you accomplished so far this season.

Muhammad: I have 2 TDs, 10 receptions, 216 yards receiving and 1 interception so far.

Patch: What is your favorite song in your I-pod.

Muhammad: Primetime by Kanye West and Jay-Z.
