Jack Kurzu, 285 pound tackle from MICDS has been again given the honor of being named to the 45-man roster of Team USA (an NFL Organization). This honor is reserved for the country's most promising football players.
Last week, the organization made the announcement that another local player Chase Abbington of Ft. Zumwalt South was announced to have made the team as well - http://usafootball.com/news/high-school/eight-defensive-backs-named-us-under-19-national-team
Both Kurzu and Abbington will participate in the 2013 US Under-19 National Team program. Selection of players are based on outstanding football skill, leadership and character.
Team USA will compete on February 5 in Austin, TX at the 4th International Bowl where he will compete against the IFAF World Team comprised of the best football players from around the world. Kurzu will also participate in a National Signing Day event sponsored by Team USA where he will commit to play for Oklahoma State.

I'll bet the MICDS fund raisers will be keeping in close touch with him. He is going to get a huge NFL contract in a few years!!
