Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School’s Megan Bucol will be honored on May 6 as a Gateway West Young Achiever of the Year.

The Villa Duchesne sophomore is one of only five area students in grades 5-10 to be recognized. Recipients are selected based on the strength of their leadership abilities, strength of character, extracurricular involvement, service to their communities, and academic achievement.

The Gateway West chapter of the International Leadership Network was established in 2006 with more than 160 schools and organizations participating.
