Meeting Eager New Freshmen in Ladue and Frontenac

A review of the incoming class of 2015 reveals bright, eager students, all ready to get the school year started.

We hope you enjoyed our freshman profiles as much as we did putting them together. It was a real pleasure getting to meet and interview the boys and girls in the Class of 2015.

We first met Maura Miller, a freshman at Villa Duchesne. Next was Lindsay Garcia, a budding tennis star at John Burroughs. Kate Schwarz followed. She is the second generation in her family to attend St. Joseph's Academy. The boys followed. Shane Combs left Lindbergh for MICDS to play football, and Jack Fox is another freshman football player, but he will play football for Ladue.

We are interested in all the students who make up the freshman class at these five schools. Their hopes and dreams will carry them forward with their academic careers.

We quickly found out each individual had a wide range of interests outside the classroom. The freshmen are tennis player, a dancer, a couple of football players and a golfer.

We wish the best of luck to all the members of the Class of 2015 as they take their respective seats in the classrooms beginning next week.

With all due respect, as a Freshman's parent, I think it risky to expose minors to online publicity. Here's hoping you consulted their parents.

Absolutely, we consulted with the parents. The parents were present each time the student was interviewed. All students came at the suggestion of the public relations director of each school. This was a very popular series, and exemplified what is really great about the different freshman classes around the area.

We did consult their parents, I even interviewed a couple of them to go with the profiles I wrote.
