The National Blues Museum is currently raising funds to build a cultural attraction in downtown St. Louis.

Affton native John Goodman recently shot a promotional video to help the museum.

The facility will be focused on education, entertainment and community involvement. With 23,000 square feet of programming space, a 100-seat theater as well as technology and artifact-driven exhibits, the National Blues Museum will explore the Blues and celebrate the genre as the root of all modern American music.

The projected opening date is in late 2014, but please check back for updates, or follow the Museum on Twitter and Facebook to keep up with the museum's progress.

What a great piece of American History. What's with the comment: "Flag is inappropriate"?
