Ezekiel Elliott, three-sport phenom from John Burroughs School has made it official, he gave a verbal commitment to play football at the Ohio State University next fall.
He left in his wake some two dozen schools who coveted his running back talents. Clearly, Elliott was the hottest prospect anywhere in St. Louis this coming season. He has one more year at Burroughs. Besides leading the area in touchdowns and rushing, he made all conference in basketball and is the fastest hurdler in the St. Louis region. His talents will be on display this coming weekend at the Skippy Keefer Relays at Burroughs Saturday.
"I felt comfortable there (in Columbus) with the team, the coaches, the administrators. I even met the president of the school. Ohio State is perfect for my academic pursuits," he told Patch.
Oral commitments are not binding. He will be able to officially sign with the Buckeyes next February.
