Ladue and Frontenac, like surrounding communities, got their first significant snowstorm of the year overnight and the snowfall continued into late morning. The plows were out early, and the parking lots were being cleared by early morning for holiday shoppers.

Life goes on in Ladue and Frontenac. David Langsam, as he's done for 25 years, was out for his morning run through Ladue and Olivette. Vic Bassman, artist in residence at Ladue High and retired after 36 years of teaching was heading over to the high school after his daily stop at Starbucks.

Carl Bolm, president of BSR Services Inc. was finishing up clearing the parking lot at the Village at Schneithorst, making sure everyone was pleased.

Church goers at Annunziata Parish in Ladue were heading out into the chilled morning air by 8 a.m. from morning mass. Residents of Briar Cliff subdivision were still asleep in their beds. Enjoy the musings and views of the first snowfall to hit the entire St. Louis area.
