Under the direction of Nancy Walther, Conway Elementary School's chorus, comprised of fourth and fifth graders, sang Christmas carols at Plaza Frontenac's center court on Monday afternoon.

A crowd gathered to watch them perform, including parents and grandparents of the kids in the choir. Harvey Schneider and his wife were there to watch their grandchild - a fourth grader - perform.

"I'm looking forward to it," he said.

Lisa and Eric Sheldon were there to watch their daughter, fifth grader Meghan, perform.

"I'm excited for her and for the choir," said Mrs. Sheldon.

"I'm feeling very joyous," added Mr. Sheldon.

Once the kids walked in and started singing, a larger crowd started to gather around the center court, including busy shoppers who took a time out to hear the chorus sing.

They performed nine holiday songs, including classics like "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)," "White Christmas" and "Sleigh Ride."

At the end of the concert, Walther addressed the crowd.

"On behalf of the Conway Chorus, Happy Holidays!" she said.

We were able to take videos of the songs from the performance, so you too can take a few moments to listen to the kids perform. (Please excuse any audio issues with the video, as there were a couple of technical difficulties with Plaza Frontenac's audio system - mainly the microphone used for solos.)
