Ladue-Frontenac Patch thanks Sheila Kendrick for sharing some photos and other information about the St. Louis Rowing Club and the Ladue High rowers who are part of the team. The article below and the photos are provided by Kendrick.

St. Louis Rowing Club is recruiting!

Our Free Intro Practices are Sunday, Sept. 16 2-4 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 23 from 2-4 p.m.

Ladue High School has the largest number of rowers (about 25), we are going to have an info meeting for kids that are interested and then take a "Ladue High Rows" photo. I am hoping you might want to come and join us!!!

Here is a little background on what has been going on with the club:

B.J. Francis is just back from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and just raced on the USA team at the Junior World Championships. It was quite a coup for our Saint Louis Rowing Club. He went through a very vigorous selection process to make it!
Team USA came in 5th in the world.

He is the one to watch this year. He is being heavily recruited by the Ivy's and other top tier schools.

With the US Olympic medal by the U.S. men's 4, raising awareness of the sport, and our historic spring season, we are anticipating a big turnout on recruiting days!

Let me know if you can make it!
