Aside from a couple's anniversary, Valentine's Day is perhaps the most romantic day of the year.

Attempting to find the perfect gift for a loved one can be stressful, and while some people like the standard flowers, candy and jewelry, others like gifts such as trips or a romantic dinner prepared at home.

Most of the people Ladue-Frontenac Patch spoke with at Plaza Frontenac said they prefer original gifts or even experiences such as a weekend in wine country instead of gifts. However, while getting to spend some quality time with the person you love is great, the consensus was that something along the lines of a little "bling bling" or a dozen roses would be a perfect added bonus to a fantastic Valentine's Day.
